The American Neo Horror Movie Series Don’t Breathe premiered on August 26, 2016, and the Second Season premiered on August 13, 2024, after an almost 5-year break. To be exact, Rodo Sayagues directed this sequel to Don’t Breathe, which marked Rodo’s directorial debut.
The Blind Man/ Norman Nordstorm, portrayed by Stephen Lang, is a character in the film who has the remarkable ability to use all of his senses but his vision. The main difference is that he is now a single father to Madelyn Grace’s adoptive daughter “Phoenix.” However, a new figure called “Raylan,” portrayed by Brendan Sexton III, makes an appearance. The film is based on characters created by Fede Lvarez and Rodo Sayagues.

Google as a sourceThe film begins with a fire breaking out in an old, run-down home, and a tiny young girl crawling out and being thrown out into the road. For obvious reasons, a voice may be heard calling the young child “Phoenix,” a mythological creature. Then there’s a subtitle that says “8 Years Later.” The scene depicts Phoenix, who is between the ages of 10 and 11, fleeing through the woods to save herself from a vicious dog that would bite the bone out of her if she is found.
Phoenix scuttles to an old abandoned vehicle, where she discovers a large polished handgun, after spontaneously climbing a very tall fence with substantial and tremendous quickness and ability. But behind her, an elderly guy, who we know as The Blind Man (Stephen Lang) from the previous film, emerges and clenches the pistol. Nordstorm inquires whether Phoenix has failed once again, revealing to the audience that Nordstorm is teaching Phoenix how to live in the most difficult of circumstances using these survival methods.
Because of Nordstorm’s dominance, he seems to be educating Phoenix according to a non-traditional homeschool curriculum. Everything seems to be great at first, but Phoenix soon feels imprisoned inside the four walls, as our scary Blind Man refuses to allow her leave the home or even have friends. When Nordstorm allows Phoenix to walk outdoors on occasion, he keeps his gaze fixed on her.
After a few scenes, the viewer can see that Nordstorm has transformed from a scary criminal to a pleasant guy who is now a good human being. Obviously, Nordstorm does not want to lose Phoenix this time, but evil does not wait for permission to enter your life, and something similar occurs. Brendan Sexton III (as Raylan), Rocci Williams (as Duke), Adam Young (as Jim Bob), and others star in A Random Bunch of Dangerous Goons, which penetrates the life of this father-daughter pair.
The Hooligan’s primary goal was to kidnap Phoenix, who is later revealed to be Raylan’s biological daughter, and the notion of kidnapping doesn’t sit well with our old ally, The Blind Man. To get rid of the invaders, Nordstorm is prepared to use a variety of unethical methods. This “survival” examination, which may turn out to be the last exam, should be passed by Phoenix’s sole chance.

This time, our scary, unappealing The Blind Man has transformed into a good guy who is trying all in his power to rescue her adoptive kid, making it desirable and pleasant for everyone to watch him in this new avatar. So we strongly advise you to STREAM IT since it is well worth your time; however, one last note: although the sequel is not as good as the first, it does have a beautifully written plot.
